Established in 2007 across the town of Kaya and 18 surrounding villages (70% urban, 30% rural) in the Centre-Nord region of Burkina Faso. Open HDSS of 48,131 individuals in 7,682 households at baseline, updated every six months. Designed as a platform for evaluating health interventions in the Kaya health district.
