Rakai Community Cohort Study (RCCS)
About this cohort
Long-running community-based open cohort initiated in 1994 in 50 communities across Rakai and neighbouring districts of south-central Uganda. ~12,000+ residents aged 15–49 at any one survey round; expanded over time to wider age ranges, with annual to biennial household censuses and HIV surveys. One of the world's premier HIV transmission, prevention and treatment-impact platforms. (Note: row 77 RHSP is the implementing organisation.)
