About this cohort

Established in 2014 in the Polana Caniço A and B neighbourhoods of Maputo, the urban arm of CISM's HDSS network in Mozambique. Open household panel of 87,816 individuals at baseline (June 2017–Sept 2018), now ~95,300 across 22,131 households, with biannual data updates. Provides population-based data for studies of urban health, child/maternal health and NCDs.
