About this cohort

Urban SAPRIN HDSS node in Cape Town, South Africa, launched in 2023 with community health worker-based data collection in Nomzamo and Bishop Lavis (combined population ~120,000–150,000). Integrated with community-oriented primary care delivered by NPO partners Masincedane and The Caring Network. Supports SAPRIN's expansion into urban settings to track health, demographic and socio-economic indicators and inform Western Cape health policy.
